Against the background of a planned spatial reorganization of health care services at University Hospital Zurich (USZ), Switzerland, MMI created a detailed analysis of the effects of various structural development scenarios on the personnel structure and personnel costs of the hospital.
Currently, the medical departments at the USZ are spread over 50 individually managed buildings (some of them in bad structural conditions) which is a significant obstacle to the future development of the Hospital. An efficient commercial operation of the hospital is barely possible. In the analysis of MMI, special attention was given to the following development scenarios:
- Improvement of medical workflows at the existing buildings Redevelopment and new buildings in the existing area
- New building out of Zurich City Centre
The analyses, forecasts and recommendations of MMI describe the various pros and cons of the design alternatives and include calculations of the necessary areas and calculations relating to the personnel requirements and the respective personnel costs.
- GFS: 30.300 sqm
