Trauma Center for Christ Embassy (Lagos/ Nigeria)
The majority of the Nigerian population has no access to trauma care. Therefore the Christ Embassy, Lagos/ Nigeria is planning to construct a Trauma Center for Lagos and the western region of Nigeria.
The task was to plan a trauma center which includes an emergency room with multiple shock rooms, resuscitation rooms, acute treatment and observation beds, as well as ICU and IMC, operating rooms, a blood bank, a fully equipped laboratory, a diagnostic center (radiology), service rooms and all necessary supply and waste areas.
MMI created the medical concept study for the construction of the trauma center. In collaboration with Nickl & Partner Architects the team developed a space and function plan, the building plan and a business plan for the project.
