PD Dr. Andrej Khandoga
Associate Professor of Surgery
Dr. Khandoga is staff surgeon at the Department of General, Visceral, Transplantation, Vascular and Thoracic Surgery (University of Munich). His clinical interests are in visceral surgery including oncological surgery and organ transplantation. Andrej Khandoga was awarded his doctoral degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 2002 (summa cum laude) and received the Venia Legendi from the Medical Faculty in 2009.
His research interests span the fields of liver surgery, transplantation and inflammation. Dr. Khandoga leads an own research group at the Department of Surgery and at the Walter Brendel Centre of Experimental Medicine (former Institute for Surgical Research). His research work is supported by grants from the German Research Foundation (DFG).
